Colloids and bacteria
The size of bacteria can be comparable to the micron sized colloidal particles, which suggests that sometimes bacteria would yield the physical laws that also dominate colloidal particles behaviors at the bulk or at interfaces. For example, we have known that colloidal particles exhibit fantastic behaviors at an interface, such as coffee ring effects, Marangoni effects. In this context, we have great interest in investigating whether these effects can also affect bacterial behaviors.
